08:00 AM: Depart from your hotel in Hanoi for a scenic 2-hour drive (93 km) to Ninh Binh, known as “miniature Vietnam.” Enjoy views of the peaceful Northern countryside en route, with a short rest stop along the way.
10:30 AM: Arrive at Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital from the 10th century. Visit the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, and learn about Vietnam’s early dynasties in a tranquil, historic setting.
01:30 PM: Take a short walk to Tam Coc boat station for a relaxing 2-hour sampan ride along the Ngo Dong River. Marvel at lush rice fields, limestone cliffs, and the famous three caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.
After the boat trip, return to Hanoi.
